Welcome to the Girlguiding Leeds Resource Library!
We have a wide variety of items you can borrow including recruitment materials, adventures in a box, musical instruments and sports equipment. We hope this online reservation system will enable more units to access these resources that we have available to borrow from Girlguiding Leeds.
To register - to be able use our library, you will need to register. To do this, please email us at resources@girlguidingleeds.org.uk giving your name, unit name and contact details (email, mobile and address).
Please only register once per unit - so all units have the chance to access the library.
You will need to reregister annually, but you will automatically receive an email asking you to renew.
To reserve and borrow an item - once you have registered you will have access to our online library. This will give you a full list of everything we have available to borrow, and you will be able to see if it's available and when. Simply follow the instructions to reserve the item/s for the dates you need.
Please do not borrow items for too long, to enable other units to borrow them. Ideally we would like items to be returned within a fortnight.
Cost of borrowing a resource - recruitment and promotional items are free to borrow; to help cover the cost of replacing contents and purchasing new resources there is a standard loan fee of £2.50; for some larger items the loan fee is £5.00.
Collection and return - most items are stored at the Trefoil Centre and you will need to arrange collection and return. To make this easier we now have a drop box located outside the depot, so collections and drop offs can be made 24/7. When you reserve an item we will give you the key code, so you can pick up and drop off on a day and time to suit you. Alternatively you can come when either the county office or the depot are open. We will agree this with you when you make a loan reservation.
Please ensure you return the items you have borrowed promptly and by the return date, so we can make them available for someone else.
